T. Kent Denmark, MD completed medical school, residency, and fellowship in southern California. He subsequently joined the academic faculty at Loma Linda University for the next 21 years. During that time, he played several roles: fellowship director, founding director for the Medical Simulation Center, director for the Center for Interprofessional Education and attained academic appointments as Professor of Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Basic Science, and Medical Education. He moved to Tulsa in 2016 to accept the role of Department Chair for the Pediatric Emergency Center at Saint Francis.
Shifting focus in 2022 to a different demographic with a significant gap in available services, he founded Advanced Wound Therapy to bring hope to primarily home-bound patients with wounds. He finds it incredibly fulfilling to give patients and their families hope for wounds that have seemed hopeless. He and his wife have four amazing children, two great-sons-in-law, two extraordinary grandchildren, and a happy dog.
Dr. Matthew Carmichael is a board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine, with a robust background in both clinical practice and leadership roles. He completed his undergraduate education at Taylor University, followed by medical school at A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). Dr. Carmichael then pursued his emergency medicine residency at the University of Michigan Health – West campus in Grand Rapids, MI. After his residency, he spent three years in Kansas City as the Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine at Centerpoint Medical Center.
In 2017, Dr. Carmichael relocated to Tulsa, where he has continued to significantly impact the local healthcare scene. Before his current role at AWT, he served as the Medical Director for Emergency Departments at both St. Francis Healthcare System and Hillcrest Healthcare System. Outside of work, Dr. Carmichael enjoys the outdoors, coaching youth sports, and spending quality time with his family. He and his wife, a Tulsa native, are the proud parents of eight children. Dr. Carmichael is dedicated to providing top-notch patient care and furthering medical education and leadership within the field.

Dr. Griffeth serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Advanced Wound Therapy, LLC. With over 32 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Dar combines a deep understanding of clinical practices with a strong background in business management. Prior to joining Advanced Wound Therapy, Dr. Griffeth held leadership roles in several prominent healthcare organizations, where he focused on improving patient outcomes through the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and efficient operational practices. His expertise in process optimization has been instrumental in streamlining workflows and enhancing systems integrations and development.
Dr. Griffeth holds multiple degrees in Healthcare related areas and is passionate about leveraging his knowledge to advance the management and processes associated with wound care, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of treatment, hope, and compassion. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dar enjoys beach volleyball, cycling/mountain biking, adventure racing, and volunteering in community care initiatives.
Mr. Dickman has enjoyed a successful career in packaging, logistics, cold storage, and railroad services. As CEO of Base, Inc., he managed operations that included two short-line railroads and three industrial rail terminals, offering services such as transloading, handling hazardous materials, and distributing food-grade products. Base also operated two commercial cold storage facilities in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2001, he founded Oracle Packaging Company, Inc., where under his leadership, the company expanded to seven manufacturing facilities, boosting annual sales to over $350 million and increasing its workforce to 600 employees.
Mr. Dickman has also provided legal expertise in business mergers and acquisitions as Of Counsel to Titus, Hillis, Reynolds & Love, PC. He played a key role in Avalon Oil, plc, leading a public offering on the London Stock Exchange and securing significant financing for a Russian joint venture. A committed educator and leader, Mr. Dickman served as a trustee at the University of Tulsa for 15 years and has held various leadership roles within the Young Presidents Organization. He holds a BA and J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Married since 1987 to Martha, with whom he has two children, Kit and Caroline, Mr. Dickman enjoys golf and traveling.
Cathryn Crittenden, M.D. is board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She completed her medical school, residency, and fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Crittenden joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma, where she remained for several years before moving to Tulsa to join Dr. Denmark at Saint Francis Hospital. During her tenure at Saint Francis, she served as the residency coordinator for the Pediatric Emergency Center and the Assistant Program Director for the Oklahoma State University Emergency Medicine Residency program.
Dr. Crittenden was given an opportunity to join Advanced Wound Therapy, continuing to provide exceptional patient care outside of a hospital setting. The rewarding experience of seeing patients and their families hopeful as wounds heal reaffirms her passion for medicine. She stays excited about learning new technologies and advances in medicine to ensure her patients receive the best treatment for their needs. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Crittenden is the mother of four amazing children and has a wonderful fiancé, a cancer survivor whose dedication to health and wellness inspires everyone. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, and reading.
